Getting totally consistent behavior between all these platforms was a bit more difficult than it should have been, due largely to having to tap into the underlying Java bits for all the i18n date/time functionality. Things BD liked CF didn't, and even things CF liked on Linux, CF on Windows didn't. At one point I had conditional logic so the date/time formatting methods did slightly different things for CF vs. BD, but Paul refused to let that be the solution and kept hammering on things until both BD and CF were happy.
The code should run fine on CF 6.1 but I haven't tried it personally. We do have at least one person involved with the project who's been testing on 6.1, but if you want to dive in and help with that, please let me know.
More good news is that Peter Farrell's Lyla CAPTCHA works on BlueDragon on OS X and Linux, so once I get up and running on MachBlog, I'll have comments on my blog again! I still need to test Lyla on CentOS since that's what I'll be running on (time to fire up another VM on my Mac ...), but hopefully it'll work on there as well.
New Atlanta was fantastic about looking into the issues we were seeing, particularly with ColdSpring, in BD 7 Beta 1. They dug in and got everything resolved in Beta 2, so thanks to Vince and all the guys at New Atlanta.
There's still a bit of tweaking to do but it's all minor stuff now. If you'd like to get access to the SVN repository, just e-mail me, or we might just have a downloadable public beta out before the end of the year.
